Studio Lead – Associate Director

If you are an ambitious Associate / Associate Director Level Architect who would relish the challenges of taking on a Studio Lead position spearheading the Newcastle studio for one of the worlds most respected and commercially ambitious Consultancies, a rare Director opening is available for an Associate Director looking to progress to the next level.
Required is a talented and experienced Associate / Director level fully qualified ARB / RIBA affiliated Architect who is keen to head up the Architecture and master planning division of this truly global brand, situated within their established Architecture team you will be given the autonomy to head up the studio and direct on a variety of high profile projects within the North East region and nationally. Of paramount important to this role is to secure someone who has excellent leadership capabilities and a candidate who has ambitions to have their name above the door and build a successful regional studio which is hoping to grow its headcount from the current team of 10 members of staff.

Studio Lead – Responsibilities
To lead, manage and inspire a team by demonstrating the highest design standards and skills
Developing and sustaining relationships with existing and new clients
To ensure design responses are of the highest standard and exceed the client expectations
To design and deliver projects that are imbued with a strong narrative and that enhance their reputation.
Provide design and technical leadership for major projects
Reporting on activity and analysis of feedback and success factors
Development of the design culture and capability of our multi-disciplinary design team(s)
Requirements
The Studio design lead will also focus on the following –
Be focussed on design excellence, delivering inspiring solutions
Have a portfolio of work demonstrating design flair and capability
Produce inspiring design focussed solutions.
Demonstrate skill in communicating design ideas and concepts, including sketching, graphic illustration and 3D digital modelling
Able to lead design and technical reviews in the studio and inspire the team.
Be creative in their approach
Have the ability to lead bids and opportunities across their core markets
Be engaged with the successful delivery of secured projects
Be ambitious to develop and grow a regional studio.
Salary & package (depending on experience)
£65,000 – £70,000 + Car / car allowance £5500, private medical, 25 days holiday, lucrative performance bonus, 10% employer pension.
Our client currently operate a 2 days in the office and 3 from home policy which will continue indefinitely.
