Urban Designer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £45000/annum
Talented & Enthusiastic Urban Designers required to join a busy AJ100 Multidisciplinary Studio based near Farringdon, Central London.
The design led practice has over 50 year experience in the residential and urban planning & regeneration field and 3 UK offices. The extensive team is made up from talented Architects delivering intelligent responsive and enduring design through a collaborative approach to meet the needs of the clients & the community. A varied and distinguished portfolio showcases their ability within the various sectors of housing, mixed used and regeneration projects. The office has created a supportive working environment with great career progressions and an excellent reputation for internally promoting staff through to Associate/Associate Director level in recent years.
The ideal candidate will have an relevant Urban Design degree, and a keen interest in residential, mixed use, and regeneration projects. In joining this practice you will be working alongside experienced, established Architectural professionals and an effective management structure that allows their talented team to flourish in the studio.
Initial responsibilities of Urban Designer will include:
Producing layouts for whole developments.
Producing detailed Residential Masterplans.
Conducting site appraisals.
Working closely with the technical team to ensure the site is deliverable.
Taking initial design concepts through to planning stage.
Requirements of the Urban Designer will include.
To hold a relevant Architectural/Urban Design qualification.
Have a minimum 3 years experience (UK based preferable).
Excellent knowledge of UK building regs.
To have previous experience working with the Residential sector, with a design portfolio to accompany this.
A highly competitive salary and benefits package, likely to be in the region of £35,000 to £45,000 + excellent benefits would be on offer to the successful Urban Designer, dependant on experience.
