A Junior Interior Architect job is now available with a luxury residential architectural & design studio based in SW London. This role would suit an architecturally trained or technical interior designer with a passion for luxury interiors. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on space planning, bespoke joinery, furniture design, and technical design detailing as well as assisting with the implementation of projects on site.

Their team combines the perfect amount of creativity, industry knowledge and innovation, producing phenomenal work for national and international clients. Due to an increase on their workload, they are currently seeking a driven Junior Interior Architect with at least one year of professional experience to become a core member of their team and work on a variety of luxury residential projects.

Role & Responsibilities

– To assist on all stages of the design process, from concept through to completion
– Working on/assisting with space planning, joinery and specification schedules
– To produce clear and organised detailed design intent drawings
– Producing/assisting with client presentations
– Producing clear and organised drawings.

Required Skills & Experience

– A recognised interior design or architectural qualification
– 1+ year working experience in an interior design or architectural practice, preferably on luxury residential projects
– Highly proficient in Vectorworks, Excel and Powerpoint
– Exceptional conceptual skills
– Excellent design and space planning skills
– Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas using hand sketching
– Ability to take direction on design concepts and communicate clearly to others
– Practical knowledge of how to execute design intent including a basic understanding of space planning and standard joinery heights
– Knowledge and understanding of the various design stages from concept, tender, and design intent construction
– Knowledge/understanding of what a fixture and finishes specification schedule is
– Initiative to work both independently and as part of a team
– Excellent time management skills
– Fluent in (spoken and written) English.

What you get back

– Salary of £22,000 – £30,000 DOE
