As Graphic Artist, you will be joining a manufacturing production facility for a global company in Barry, where you will be producing artwork of for any of the manufacturing processes and maintaining artwork files. This role is offered on a full time permanent basis.

Role purpose of the Graphic Artist

To ensure all artworks are created to customer specification or to appropriate technical standards to a specific deadline. You will produce artwork for any of the manufacturing processes and maintaining all artwork files
Responsible for maintaining all artwork equipment including hardware/software through external contracts
Maintaining an artwork database and film library
Ensuring that a structured training programme is created and documented, and that the work instruction accurately reflects all procedures As Graphic Artist, you will be responsible for:

Work with TSMs, Customers and Customer Services to produce artwork proofs
Ensure all Artwork is produced to customer specifications in a timely manner
Produce artworks that may be required for any process within manufacturing
Record all Artwork orders on a database(s) & ensure all artwork back up files are maintained and kept in a secure location
Timely despatch of finished Artwork to all processes
Assist the Manufacturing Manager in identifying capital investments in artwork equipment that would reduce product cost, lead times and create process improvements
To keep up to date with technological advancements in PC/Mac based technologies and other electronic media and artwork equipment that would improve the art departments productivity
Input into manufacturing team initiatives & process improvements
Liaise with other senior operators to ensure all manufacturing team initiatives are achieved within a timely manner
Assist wherever possible with the introduction of the new computer system
Liaise with senior operator (screen) and create a film library for screen printing
Liaise with digital cell operators to solve problems Skills, attributes and experience for the Graphic Artist

A broad knowledge of best practice in Graphic Design systems and Software (PC and Macintosh systems)
Adobe Illustrator
Onyx Rip Queue (desirable)
MS Office
Experience of using other Adobe creative suite applications desirable, not essential as training will be provide
Ability to prioritise and manage a wide range of projects
Proactive and forward thinking, to accept and co-operate with any changes necessary for the progress of the department or company
An excellent organiser and problem solve
Knowledge of Cut paths and Colour Separation is desirableWhat's in it for me?
