Temporary Garment Tech – Jerseywear
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £15 – £17/hour
Our client are a supplier of jerseywear (ladies and mens) to high street retailers such as major online and store based clients. We are looking for a talented Garment Technologist to join on a temporary basis, possibly part – time to assist with workload on an ongoing basis.
Duties include:
– Measure and asses fit samples from initial development through to production, resolving any fit issues
– Understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting and manufacturing processes
– Accurately provide factories with any measurement changes and graded specs
– Analyse test reports, ensuring requirements are met as per customers requirements,
– Issuing care label instructions
– Knowledge of both physical and chemical testing, including REACH, Prop 65 and Chinese regulations.
– Work closely with the design and production team at development stage to assess any product risks and production issues
– Creating tech packs for factories with clear and precise instructions
– Analysing quality issues and put corrective actions plans in place
– Experience with factory audits and following up non-compliances
– Work towards key dates driven by the critical path
– Clear communication skills, written and oral
– Efficient worker who can work independently
– Ability to learn new online systems quickly and accurately
