Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm
Hourly Pay Rate: £10.50 per hour (£9.50 while training, if training is needed)
Stafflex are currently recruiting for sewing machinists who have the passion for making high quality garments and excellent attention to detail. If you like to work on a variety of different projects and take pride in your work – this is the opportunity for you.
As a Sewing machinist you will be involved in the full process of making garments. Your duties will include:
Sewing a wide variety of pre-cut and prepped products and styles in both ladies and menswear
Being able to adapt quickly between products – some that will require a high level of detail and accuracy
Operating a variety of industrial sewing machines, mainly Lockstitch and Overlockers but also other machines such as blind hemmers and cover seamers.
Working with a variety of fabrics
You will be expected to manufacture garments with minimum supervision
Working in a team environment
Essential competencies:
Extremely accurate sewing machine skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experienced in making a complete garment
Previous experience working with industrial sewing machines
