Unique opportunity available in Cheshire for a Senior Interior Designer to join a true market-leader in the world of Property development to work on a number of exciting Residential projects.
Our client are a well known brand throughout the North-West of England and across the UK. Their portfolio of work has lit up the Manchester Skyline and has begun to immerse itself in other UK cities. They have also expanded into Europe and Internationally. They work primarily on Residential projects including Hotels, Student accommodation, apartment buildings, PRS and others of a similar nature.
As their business expands, so does their portfolio. They have recently entered the world of 'Assisted/retirement-living' and have ambitious plans to change the way projects within this sector are viewed. To achieve this, they are looking to hire an ambitious and experienced Interior Designer that will help to design key aspects of these Assisted/retirement-living projects and take a lead-role in the brand-development of such schemes.
The role will see the successful interior Designer working closely with the department manager and Head of Interior Design as part of a project team designing and delivering Interiors schemes. Primarily they will be Community, living and Amenity spaces within the high-end Retirement & Assisted-living sectors. Expected will be the production of detailed design documentation, mood boards, ff&e shedules and 3D sketches as required, primarily using Sketchup and Layout software. There will also be the opportunity to visit site and work with the land-acquisition team to identify new sites for development.
Another key component of the role is to display innovation and to implement new brand-standards and stay 'ahead of the curve' through continued research and utilising your knowledge of good design. There are frequent design-team meetings that will include Architects, Commercial Directors and other colleagues throughout the company, its here where you can present your ideas and findings. The successful interior Designer here will be trusted with great responsibility and will form a key component as part of this companies inner-mechanisms.
In order to be considered for this role, we would hope for applicants to meet the following criteria:
Degree Qualification in Interior Design, Architecture or similar.
Minimum 5 years practical experience.
Previous experience working within Residential sector preferred (Hotel, Student Accommodation, High-Rise, Retirement living).
Site-based experience.
Ability to present and lead design-team meetings.
Excellent communication skills: Written, verbal, presentation.
Time management skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Software: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Layout, InDesign, Photoshop.
