My clients is looking for a Senior Design Engineer who is a global specialist in the design, build and servicing of heating and cooling equipment based in Havant. The client manufactures and sells a full range of products including fan convectors, fan coils, radiant panels and trench perimeter heating for a variety of commercial and industrial applications within global markets including: hospitals, schools, colleges, factories, offices, shops and warehouses.
Senior Design Engineer Position Overview
To undertake, assist or oversee the design and development of new and special products from conception to launch, including the production of working drawings, sales drawings and other drawings, as may be required, using the CAD system.
To undertake, assist or oversee the design and development of prototype units.
To undertake, assist or oversee the testing of prototype and pre-production units and to process and evaluate results of the testing.
To undertake, assist or oversee data input into the ERP system, including part creation and construction of bills of materials.
To undertake, assist or oversee the issue of information using the engineering change system, including the checking and approval of documents.
To work within the Health and Safety and ISO 9000 Quality Assurance Procedures.
To potentially deputise for the Engineering Director in his absence.
Senior Design Engineer Position Requirements
Sheet metal fabrication and product assembly design using solid modelling.
Design and product testing of electrical appliances.
An understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
The creation of products for the H&V Industry
A degree, HND or HNC in mechanical engineering or related subject
Senior Design Engineer Position Remuneration
£30-33,000 DOE
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
