Job Role
As the Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Preparation of designs, calculations, specifications and tender documentation for electrical services as part of a project team
* Understanding of regulations and standards and keeping up to date with future changes
* Coordination with other disciplines and specialists
* Promote the company to the best ability at all times
* Undertake feasibility studies
* Preparation of detailed budget costs and defined estimates if required
* Understand the requirements and have proven experience of delivering regulatory obligations associated with Building Regulations Part L and BREEAM
* Work with the mechanical / energy / Part L engineers to derive low energy design solutions
* Attend design team and project meetings on behalf of the company
* Prepare specifications / equipment schedules / drawing and information to installation and fully coordinated standards (RIBA Stage 5)
* Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
* Deliver exceptional technical and commercial solutions
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, contract documents etc
As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer you will have…
* 3 years' experience of electrical building services design (including emergency lighting and fire alarm design)
* Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
* Hands on knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, Amtech and / or Hevacomp
* Design consultant or contractor background
* HNC or equivalent in relevant subject
* Have a UK full driving licence
* Good experience of electrical detail design and performance design
