A growing, high-end furniture design business, who focus on vintage and Scandinavian furniture designs, are looking to hire a financial controller to join their operations team to help support their business growth. This is a pivotal role for them and a time of significant growth, so it is an exciting time to join them and an opportunity to make the role your own.
This is an office-based role in North London (with some flexibility)
The duties are as follows:
Balance sheet & bank reconciliation
Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensuring legal requirements compliance
Ensuring VAT and HMRC compliance
Producing full management account packs
Working closely with the Managing Director in project-based work, including providing ad-hoc analysis as required
Preparing financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends
Producing and analysing P&L reports
Leading the budgeting and forecasting process
Preparation and monitoring of weekly cash flow forecasts
Preparation and reconciliation of VAT returnsAn ideal candidate will have: –
3+ years experience in bookkeeping and preferably in a management role
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail
Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently when needed Immediately available / Full time
Used Xero/SAP/SAGE or similar accountancy package
Ideally from a creative environment
