Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Hours of work: Mon – Friday 8.30pm – 5.30pm (early finish on Friday)
Grafton Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a leading local Manufacturer who are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Scunthorpe.
Working in the Development team, you will research, design and develop new and existing products for our range using 3D CAD software.
The Role
Provide design solutions to support sales driven requirements.
Support the development of new and existing products.
Generation of production models using 3D CAD software.
Generate detailed production drawings and documentation.
Provide technical support to production, sales and purchasing functions when required.
Offer suggestions of improvements to existing designs and processes.
Identify and source components.
Identify opportunities to cost down.
Skills and Qualifications
Experienced in the use of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferable).
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
Sheet metal design Experience.
Provide a creative problem-solving approach.
Experienced in handling small to medium scale projects.
Work well as part of a team.
Ability to work to demanding deadlines.
Strong Stakeholder Management.
Attention to detail.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.Benefits
