DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Brief in copy and advise pagination to external suppliers for all relevant marketing communications, such as the Hot Tools booklets – to liaise with various external print suppliers to negotiate costs, and to ensure print and delivery deadlines are met.
Project management of your own allocated projects.
All design collateral and marketing literature to be proof read with all amends made and fed in to any external agencies where appropriate/required.
Source relevant product images from suppliers, take in-house photography (when required) and clip/crop and format images as needed for use.
Ensure that design work is aligned with other methods of communication.
Create a range of design for print, digital design, research and development work whilst balancing deadlines at each stage of a design project.
Liaise with internal client/teams to solve their creative challenges to ensure communication to their audience is impactful and effective.
Refresh and regularly update the Franchisee Intranet Portal to keep it up to date and visually appealing.
There will be an element of mentoring within this role with other creative team members.
To lead an innovation project regarding enhanced POS material for the mobile store network to aid and optimise the tool selling opportunities. This will include working with external supplier contacts and members of our franchisee network.
Any other duties, which you may be asked to complete to ensure the efficient running of your department or area. PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will have a strong, tradition design background which they will be comfortable applying to digital.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, or interior design, or equivalent experience
At least Five to Eight years of commercial graphic design experience
You need to be agile and adapt to the ever changing market place and continue to seek design solutions for a variety of required activities.
A natural collaborator with strong communication skills in both printed and digital work.
With an excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, in particular InDesign, illustrator and Photoshop.
Must have a strong sense of current trends in print and digital design and possess strong visual, layout and copywriting skills.
Be able to fully understand and interpret briefs and have exceptional communication skills
You should be able to multitask, prioritise work to tight and set deadlines is critical as is the requirement to take direction
Attention to detail is critical ensuring every piece of work is flawless
