This unique opportunity for a Reprographics Officer offers variety and the chance to showcase your artistic flare and administration skills whilst being part of a supportive educational setting.
Join us at Ysgol Bryn Elian, a co-educational school in Old Colwyn, where you’ll be providing reprographic support to staff and overseeing the reprographics room on a daily basis.
As Graphic Design / Reprographics Officer at Ysgol Bryn Elian, your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and creating visual ideas (by hand / electronically) for website, social media, marketing material and display materials which are intended to captivate, inform & inspire
* Illustrating ideas by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval and coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary
* Fulfilling all printing and copying requests submitted by staff, photocopying material for school use including internal examination papers, booklets, leaflets and student work
* Other administration duties including ring binding, trimming, laminating and producing ID cards, as well as ordering materials, and monitoring departments use of the facilities
* Managing the website and media channels and adverting school vacancies on all media platforms
* Ordering paper and materials as and when required and disseminate to departments as necessary
* Performing basic equipment maintenance and cleaning and ensuring the reprographics room is kept clean and tidy and adhering to all Health and Safety regulations
At Ysgol Bryn Elian, we are looking for a Graphic Design / Reprographics Officer who has the following skills and experience:
* Good standard of general education including Numeracy, Literacy
* Strong IT Skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, desktop publishing etc.
* Previous administrative experience
* Good awareness of design trends and creative thinking, as well as good knowledge in graphic production process
* A basic understanding of reprographics technology
* Literate – excellent standard of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Excellent interpersonal skills – able to deal with a variety of people. Good communication skills
* Good time management skills – be able to prioritise work
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 08:00-16:00 & Friday, 08:00-15:30. In return, a salary of up to £22,129 per annum is on offer, you will also receive approximately 21% employer contributions into a pension scheme (when you contribute) and a medical cash-plan.
