Junior Designer – Berinsfield
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary :
Junior Designer – Berinsfield – Up to £30,000
The design, development and general technical support of in demand products, in accordance with the company's quality standards and such tasks as may be requested by management to meet the company's development strategy.
Main Duties:
* Assist development projects as instructed by management.
* Provide technical support to production and sales departments.
* Liaise on technical matters with component suppliers.
* Produce, maintain and manage technical assembly and manufacturing drawings.
* Involvement in product on-water testing.
* Production and control of Bill of Materials (BOM's).
* Assist in the building and testing of prototypes from concept to pre-production stage.
Ancillary Duties:
To carry out such tasks and duties as may be required from time to time by senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
o Formal vehicle or product design education to Degree level.
o Ability to generate and communicate concept ideas through
hand sketches.
o 3D CAD literate (preferably Solidworks / NX but not essential) + MS office & Adobe suites.
o Understanding of general engineering and electrical systems
an advantage.
o Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes common
to automotive and marine industries.
o Familiarisation with various moulding techniques / laminate schedules
is an advantage.
