Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour depending on experience and discount on Estate products
Job Type: Fixed Term, 6 weeks (12 hrs per week Friday-Sunday 11.30am-3.30pm to start Friday 28th October)

Since 2016 the Estate has developed a portfolio of superior quality products from grass-fed beef and free-range poultry to award-winning gins, with more launching all the time.
Actor – The Role:
The Estate are looking for an enthusiastic and active person who is experienced in character acting. The actor/host will help to bring alive tours of South Ormsby Hall and Walled Garden. You'll carry out various roles as guided tours pass through the Hall and gardens, bringing humour and fun to visitors' experience of their walk, as well as sharing information about the South Ormsby Estate's produce and sustainability work. You might play a recalcitrant member of staff sharing a secret tot of the housekeeper's gin with one tour group, before meeting another group in the garden to talk about sustainable heating for the Hall and how many barrows of logs the boiler takes every day. If this role Is successful, then further dates in 2023 will be added.
Actor – Key Responsibilities:
– You will plot out and play the characters and interact with guests throughout their visit
– You will create and improvise your performance, incorporating a set of key information, or you will learn a script provided, depending on preference
– Seek to capture our guests’ imagination
– You will organise and serve samples of our gins to guests on the tours, and process orders and payments for any sales of gin, soap and produce etc
Actor – You:
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– To be outstanding at performing scripts
– Plenty of stamina
– A good sense of humour
– A flexible approach to the role
– An outgoing personality an interest in history and/or sustainability are desirable.
– Experience ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed
– Ability to share knowledge in an engaging and enthusiastic way
– Ability to work independently with excellent timekeeping skills
– Excellent customer service skills
