NPD Technologist – Product Designer

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a NPD Technologist – Product Designer on behalf of a well-known and respected client. This would be a Full-Time, Permanent role, based in Glenbervie, Stonehaven.
You will be responsible for: –
Using the recipe management system, and concept recipe development
Requesting ingredient samples and reviewing specifications and safety data
Liaising with plant and application teams, alongside liaising with a wide range of other teams, such as project, purchasing and commercial
Coordinating with suppliers to find solutions to a range of development and technical challenge
Working to the specification and path of project brief
Contributing to and participating various project and gate meetings
Collating feedback and leading further development
Handover of project to factory process lead

A creative problem-solver, a 'foodie' and an intuitive, excellent communicator
Confident and organised under pressure, with excellent stakeholder management skills
A working understanding of production processes, cost criteria and ingredient availability
Experience in bakery, ambient-stored sauce categories, or powder blends is very desirable
Proven experience in base-formulating on bench, translating to factory production and onwards to commercial launch
A degree in Technology or Food Science is essential
Full UK driving licence holder
