Location: Aberdeen 

My client are a leading provider of Signage and are looking for an experienced General Manager to manage the Aberdeen office.

This company are a part of a larger group so moving forward there are various opportunities to take on more responsibility with other businesses within the group and progress your career.

The ideal candidate will have either run their own Signage business previously or worked in a General Manager or Operations Manager capacity within the Signage arena.

The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

General Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient day to day running of all aspects of the operation, largely sales and customer facing aspects of the company, the personnel employed therein and surveying, estimating and project managing these sales in conjunction with sales personnel and the studio, workshop and installation teams. Liaison with functional managers ensuring standards and procedures are maintained on a daily basis.

Specific Responsibilities

1 Management of all functional personnel and the safe and efficient use of all equipment and vehicles used in the business.
2. Reporting on a monthly basis to the Board of Directors
3. Participation in Annual Planning including research in identifying Capital investment
4. Maintenance and Security of Company Assets within the Sales department.
5. Training of personnel within the sales department.
6. Maintenance of Quality standards and procedures within ISO9001
7. Maintain good working relationships with clients and suppliers
8. Be aware of new products, processes, suppliers within the industry
9. Ensure that in conjunction with the Operations Manager that the company is buying at best possible rates
10. Ensure that productivity is maintained, and work is produced at or within budget
11. Maintain good working relationships with directors, management & staff
12. To ensure that the company dress code is adhered to at all times when representing the Company.
13. To execute all other duties as determined from time to time by senior management.
