Job – Modular Designer

Remote / Office based

Our client are a growing Modular business who are recruiting an exciting new position of Modular Designer based at their manufacturing centre at Wincham with remote working available. This role is to grow the existing design team supporting our growing site accommodation team and will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development of the manufacturing operations to build a capability to become a market leader in the modular off-site industry. This role will be working closely in collaboration with the Design Lead.

Role:

Primarily office based with opportunities to visit sites as and when required. The

successful candidate would be required to:

● Liaise with the architectural team to ensure the design intent is followed.

● Coordinate information with the procurement team and external suppliers

● Ability to work in a team

Candidate:

● Degree or equivalent in an Architectural or Design discipline

● Conversant with Building Regulations and ability to implement

● Proven experience in delivering complete working drawing packages.

● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

● A comprehensive understanding of Autodesk Revit is essential along with

understanding of BIM standards and procedures

● Have excellent organisation skills Able to work methodically and accurately

to deadlines.

● An analytical mind with strong problem-solving ability

● Ability to work with other Trade disciplines and External Consultants.

● Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects good

communication skills, able to take and give clear information within the team.

● Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills a necessary.

● Demonstrate the ability in project management processes, tools, and techniques.

Desirable:

● Experience with forms of construction involving LGSF

● BIM 360 experience is a plus

● Knowledge of DFMEA

● Knowledge of MEP design and modelling skills.

● Experience of offsite manufacturing.

● An understanding of MMC (modern methods of construction)

● Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles or training is advantageous

You will be responsible for managing the project portfolio from conception through

to delivery and will need excellent communication skills to liaise regularly with clients

and external consultants.
