Rail Civil Design Coordinator
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £45000/annum
We are currently dealing with a major engineering consultancy who are looking at recruiting a Civil Design Coordinator to work on high profile Rail infrastructure projects such as the TRU and HS2, with the role being based in York. As the Rail Civil Design Coordinator, you manage production and delivery of design liaising with wider design team to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables across all areas of the project. Typical job duties for the Rail Civil Design Coordinator can include, bit not limited to:
Implement effective, value for money and innovative design solutions to meet technical and project requirements
Prepare and check engineering designs, calculations, and manage design production
When required, to undertake the roles of Task Manager, Designer, Checker or Approver for all various types of civil design.
Liaise with construction teams to ensure designs are buildable and represent value for money
Delivery of work to programme, budget and specification.
Assist and support the Engineering Manager where required
Integrate with international technical networks in the delivery of designs.
Job Requirements
Broad Civil Design Engineering experience gained on infrastructure projects within a consultancy environment
Degree qualified within a relevant discipline (i.e. Civil or Structural Engineering)
Experience of managing the coordination of multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects
