Senior Service Designer

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £60000 – £70000/annum Remote

Service Designer – £80,000 + 10% bonus – Remote (London Office)

Service Designers are often viewed as top of the pile in the UCD stack, so you may be left thinking "well, where do I go from here?". And that's a great question.

The short answer is no one knows but you. So keep an ear out in interviews for companies that listen to where you envisage yourself being in 2/3/4 years. It's a great start.

That said, I strongly feel there's certainly a few things they can do to keep you engaged and motivated long term:

Training: 1 year on the job or 10, you can always learn. The digital world moves fast so paid training each year and useful internal training keeps you on your toes. Do you have that now?
Projects: They can be 1-5 years long! So, do they change? Challenging projects evolve, require delicate thought out approaches and precision execution. Even then they can push you back to the drawing board!
Clients: Keeping them varied and building tangible relationships on a one-on-one basis is great. Finally, working together for a common goal = perfect. Here you want relationships that work both ways.
Team: Service Design is tough! Human-centred thinking, architecting plans for people to follow and encouraging collaboration. Having a team of people knowing their role, passionate about their work and motivated to have your input is fantastic. Those I feel are top. Do you agree?

(If you're going to add on multiple promotion windows every year, above market salaries, strong bonuses, services that change people's lives, working from home and flexible hours then I won't call you selfish. I'll call you stupid for not applying below) 😊
