The Role:

Reporting to the Product and Strategy Director, the Content Manager will be responsible for all content on a high footfall site in North America focused on retail investors. The Content Manager will plan and deliver the content strategy, including the creation, curation and publication of topical and contemporary content and other thought leadership articles that are highly optimised for SEO.

In this proactive role, the Content Manager will research the market in order to source recommendations for new content ideas that will help deliver the message as well as brief content writers on desirable articles and manage their workflows.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain the content strategy and writing style across owned channels.

Develop a strong understanding of the product, service and associated revenue drivers within the business.

Manage the content planning and delivery process.

Manage the content operations around delivery for client campaigns alongside organic content articles for the website.

Set up publishing and merchandising content assets via CMS and other systems.

Manage a team of writers ensuring all content is of the required standard, and in line with the wider content objectives.

Become a storyteller by creating compelling content that shows thought leadership.

Utilise analytics data and other insights to measure effectiveness and support growth in audience, user engagement and revenue.

Support the forecasting process and internal/external business performance updates.

Provide clear analyses to senior management and translate those findings into strategic recommendations.

Develop and monitor measurements, highlighting trends and explaining the causes of unexpected variances.

Research the industry for competitive intelligence to improve our proposition.

Requirements

3+ years as a content manager or senior role in a content team

Experience creating or significantly contributing to a successful content strategy for a high football website.

An exceptional writer, with exposure to creating compelling content for websites, whitepapers, blogs, infographics, reports, e-books and other content marketing assets.

Commercially focused and results-driven with a demonstrable data-centric, analytical approach.

Deep working knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices, trends and techniques to SEO-optimise pages, improve rankings and drive traffic and repeat visitors.

Experience establishing and maintaining guidelines and governance processes for all facets of content management and content marketing.

High-level understanding of content’s role in shaping the user experience.

Hands-on experience with social media channels and executing content marketing across social media platforms.

Experience with building strong, influential and collaborative relationships within both internal and external teams.
