Senior FF&E Interior Designer

Salary : £40000 – £50000/annum
A Senior FF&E Interior Designer job is available in Surrey. The role will see you working on high-end residential projects from concept development through to completion and offers the potential to become Head of Department/Creative Director.
With projects across the UK and internationally, the studio has a diverse portfolio with both private clients and developers. Due to a growing pipeline of work, they are now looking for a Senior Interior Architect with high-end residential experience to join them on a permanent basis.
Role & Responsibilities
– Working on projects from concept development through to installation
– Presenting design proposals and managing client meetings
– Listening to and taking a detailed brief from other interior designers and clients
– Successfully working on all FF&E stages for high end residential projects
– Designing bespoke pieces
– Communicating proactively with clients throughout a project
– Obtaining costs/materials, might involve calling/visiting suppliers
– Responsibility for day-to-day studio maintenance i.e., morning and evening routines
– Mentoring/overseeing junior designers
– Taking minutes in meetings and managing follow-ups internally and externally.
Required Skills & Experience
– 7+ years' professional experience in the UK
– Excellent creative and design skills; A strong portfolio showcasing high-end residential project experience is essential
– Interpersonal skills and confidence; Excellent communication with clients throughout a project
– Strong client presentation skills and experience
– Experienced in producing contractual proposals for projects
– Confident leading/working on all FF&E stages
– Excellent supplier knowledge
– Experience designing/working on bespoke joinery and furniture
– Highly experienced in working on projects independently and in teams from start to completion
– Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously whilst leading/mentoring junior designers
– Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work in an agile way in a fast-paced environment
– Outstanding administrative skills
– Knowledge of AutoCAD, InDesign and Microsoft Office
– Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
What you get back
– Salary of circa £50,000 but fully negotiable DOE.
