Character Rigger – 18 Month initial contract

Experis are delighted to be working with an award-winning veteran gaming studio within the UK who for over 30 years have released some truly iconic games. They are on the lookout now for a Character Rigger to come in and work on two of their biggest titles. This position will either be working on one, or both of their current games in production – meaning you will have plenty of exciting things to get stuck into!
Key Responsibilities:
Design, create, test, and maintain character / creature animation control rigs
Develop techniques to optimise character deformations
Collaborate with artists on technical requirements of characters
Work with animators to iterate on character control systems
Building pipeline tools to optimise art and animation workflows
Debugging animation related day to day issues
Sought-after experience & qualifications:
Experience creating animation control rigs and skinning characters in Games / TV / Film / VFX
A games / animation degree and demo reel
Good knowledge of Maya
Strong understanding of anatomy
Tools development experience skills using Python
Outstanding communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Details around the role:
18 Month initial contract
Equivalent salary of £45,000 – £55,000 (DoE) – broken down into day rate
Flexible start date
Remote
Accrued 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
