JOB ROLE: MERCHANDISER

HOURS: Full time / 4 days a week in the office 1 homebased
SALARY:up to £43K
LOCATION: Central London
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:
Duties:
Ownership of trading the department – forecasting sales, managing line cards and placing repeats
Ownership of planning future ranges – forecasting sales and range planning with Buying team in order to maximise sales opportunities
Ownership of planning system – managing stock and OTB effectively
Producing and analysing weekly reports
Producing and analysing information for meetings including sign offs
Managing margin on the department, both intake margin and exit margin
Planning promotions and markdowns on the department
Planning intake on the department to ensure sales are maximised and stock flow is optimal as well as within warehouse weekly targets
Analysing past performance and driving SWOT analysis to build future strategies with the Buying team
Building relationships with other departments particularly Buying but also web, supply chain, social etc
Management of team and responsibility for teams workload
Training and development of team in line with department and individual objectives
Presenting figures, providing information and m lead meetings with senior management
Attend supplier meetings and develop relationships with suppliers
Plan options by grade to ensure stores don't get over optioned Contributing to a safe working environment
Contribute to a safe working environment by being aware of, and adhering to, legislative and health and safety requirements of the workplace Accountability
Bring ideas to management on how ongoing improvements can be achieved Development of self and others
Take ownership for own development and participate in a coaching and feedback culture
Achieve agreed company objectives; attend training sessions, team meetings as requested Requirements
Experience as a Junior Merchandiser/Merchandiser in a retail Head Office
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Advanced level Excel skills
Commercial and Strategic
Dynamic and proactive
Good communication skills
Team working skills
Able to work in a faced paced environment
Good leadership and management skills
