Conrad Consulting are recruiting on behalf of one of the most sought-after Architecture practices in the UK. They are looking to recruit 2 Architects based in Manchester. Please read on for further details.
Firstly, a little about the company: Founded nearly 40 years ago in London, they quickly developed into one of the most innovative and modern Architectural studios in the city. Owing to a growing presence in the North of England they opened their Manchester Studio 10 years ago which has similarly been a resounding success. They employ well over 100 people in London, with around 30 team members based in Manchester. Their portfolio of completed projects includes large-scale Residential schemes, masterplanning and those within Education, Healthcare, Commercial and several other sectors.
Their approach to recruit for these roles are a little different. They are looking to employ on an initial 12-month fixed-term basis. After completion of this 12-months (or earlier) the roles could be made permanent. They do this to ensure that these new hires are completely satisfied with their first year with the company before asking them to commit to a longer period with them. It's a system that benefits both employer and employees.
The 2x Architect roles they are looking to fill will see the individual reporting to a member of the Senior team in Manchester on the technical development of certain projects that primarily fall within the large scale residential and masterplanning sectors. We are hoping that applicants will have a minimum of 2-years post-qualification experience working in a similar role. Some of the key criteria/responsibilities will include:
Architectural drawing preparation for planning, tender and construction purposes.
Attending key meetings – both with internal and external teams.
Ensuring design and development of projects is in accordance with the practice design standards.
Remain in frequent contact with team leaders and senior colleagues about the progress of developments.
Using REVIT & AutoCAD software and understanding CAD & BIM implications on the project.
Producing coherent and well-resolved Architectural designs.
