Senior Packaging Designer
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £300 – £350/day
Adrem are supporting a high-end luxury brand with an initial 3 month opening for a Packaging Designer to join their Design studio is based in London, they are looking for someone to work closely with the Design / Marketing / Quality and Procurement teams to ensure that all packaging solutions are met as well as assist the Design team in creation of exciting new packaging designs in line with the company's premium brand guidelines.
What will you do?
Concept design (graphic and structural) through to production ready artwork.
Produce designs for the core brand range as well as limited editions.
Design labels.
Investigate and implement new materials and processes within packaging arena.
Exploit technical constraints when creating high level, brand appropriate designs.
Be responsible for approving production artwork.
Review capabilities of potential new suppliers & onboarding.
Issue clear specifications and managing sampling process continuous packaging improvements.
Support for cost optimisation.
Be responsible for pushing sustainability in material / process choices across all new designs Workflow Managing projects from brief through Design team to Studio team.
Managing budgets for all packaging projects.
What will you hold?
At least 6 years of experience working in a design consultancy or in-house for a premium brand.
Experience working and managing communication with multiple suppliers through design and sampling process under tight time constraints.
High level of art and technical ability/knowledge.
The ability to verbally communicate ideas with the help of sketch or illustrations to a high level.
A strong skillset in 2D CAD packages – Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience creating high quality visualisations for internal meetings.
