Design Team – Artworker on a 3 Month Fixed Term Contract- with potential for a permanent position
Salary: £23,000pa
Our client is s seeking an experienced Design Artworker, who must be available for an immediate start. You must be able to commit to a 3 Month Fixed term contract to see our client through one of their busiest design periods of the year, with the potential that the contract shall roll through to the end of January.
Our client is offering templated banners to their Customers this year, therefore you will need to be able to add their logo, change colours, tweak wording etc using Photoshop.
Key responsibilities
Handling small-medium orders through from receiving a brief, to creation, proofing and uploading to the website as well as straight uploads to the website of customers own creatives
Adapt existing artwork to alternative layouts and/or formats
Creating and managing our ‘Pick your own’ templates and requests, making changes and uploading to the website
Carry out proof checking prior to proofing to customer
Working efficiently within the team to provide a seamless service to customers through a variety of communication channels and within set standards and KPI’s
Ensuring that all creatives comply with our ‘Text content guide’ as well as ASA and CAP guidelines.
Working closely with our Customers and liaising with their Account Managers, where needed, to update artwork and offer advertising support throughout the order journey
Helping your Team Leader and Manager with bespoke projects from time to time and trialling new processes and initiatives
Helping other areas of our design team dependent on where demand might be on any given day, and from time to time being ready to step in and help the wider Customer Experience team
Proactively and constructively contributing ideas and challenging the team processes where potential improvements have been identified
Keep up to date with the latest design trends and share what has inspired you.
Required competencies
A good knowledge Adobe Photoshop is essential and Adobe Illustrator knowledge would be preferred
Adobe InDesign is an advantage but not essential
Good layout and typographical skills and knowledge of fonts
Problem-solving skills and the ability to know when to ask for help
Excellent organisational skills.
Adaptable when needed and appropriate. Shows a positive growth mind-set
Fast learner, computer literate and comfortable learning how to use new programs and processes.
