The Company
We are working exclusively in partnership with a German owned global business with a turnover of 4 billion Euros and employ over 100,000 staff worldwide. The UK branch based in Nottinghamshire boast a modern and impressive facility where they expertise in mechanical, electrical and software design for bulk material handling projects for the plastic, rubber and tire, chemical, and food industries.
Our client provides all plant engineering services from basic engineering, in-house production of components and control technology, to final installation and after sales service.
Due to rapid growth and expansion plans they are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to help drive the business and the design team into a record projected turnover for 2023.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing 2D and 3D drawings using CAD, working on standard designs for improvement and bespoke designs for clients which are up to £2 million in value.
The role will involve:
Converting sketches into full P&ID schematic using AutoCAD 2D
Ensuring the correct equipment is available for the necessary process
2D drawings for bespoke fabricated items for manufacture
Producing 3D models using Solid Works
Designing bespoke items using component modelling and detailed manufacturing drawings
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need.
A Mechanical Engineering Qualification
The ability to do detailed 3D and 2D design work
Proficient skills in using AutoCAD
To be strong organiser who works well to deadlines
To be strong team player who communicates well with others
