Lead Design Engineer – Medical Products

We are working with a start-up business in London that is associated to a long standing consultancy. They have a requirement for a Senior Design Consultant with experience in medical devises.
The successful applicant will be come in as a Lead Engineer on a medical device programme. This will be based in the companies research and development department within the London consultancy, with opportunities for remote working.
We are looking for someone with a mind for engineering science and mechanics, an appreciation of product design, confidence in your CAD skills and a good understanding of manufacturing and materials. We are happy to look at people from medical product manufacturing industry or from a outsourced design consultancy. We need applicants who are good at managing projects, and take the responsibility for its commercial success alongside a focus on the quality of technical design.
We are looking for a talented and dynamic engineer with the technical, communication and management qualities to ensure innovative solutions and great client relations.
1st or 2:1 Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Proficient in 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks or CREO)
Familiar with materials and processes including moulding, casting, machining and fabrication
Ability with Engineering Analysis (FEA/CFD) and tolerance calculations
Experience of managing projects
Projects with significant quality & regulatory requirements
Structural, mechanism and fluid technology
System level design including electronics and software integration
The remuneration for this role will be between £55 to £60k with a benefits package to include a generous private healthcare plan, life insurance, critical illness, pension and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
