Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with a large multi-disciplinary practice based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their team.
THE COMPANY:
The company in question is a large multi-disciplinary practice with a head office in Newark, and further offices spread throughout the East Midlands and Yorkshire. The head office in Newark has a team of over 35 people, and the Leeds office fast approaching 10 members of staff having been established in the last few years.
As a multi-disciplinary, the practice offers a variety of services in areas such as; Architecture, Interior Design, Civil and Structural Engineering, Project Management, Building Surveying, Clerk of Works and BIM. The practice work in a broad range of sectors and project types, including; Education, Retail, Leisure, Commercial, Industrial, and Residential developments.
The practice have invested heavily in BIM systems and Revit software is used throughout the office, along with AutoCAD, SketchUp and more. The practice have also implemented hybrid and remote working options, which opens up opportunities for Architectural Technologist's commuting from further afield. Being based in Newark, Nottinghamshire with remote/hybrid working options, this position as an Architectural Technologist would suit those living in and around the East Midlands, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

THE POSITION – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST:
The position available is for an Architectural Technologist, ideally with project running experience, to join the practice and hit the ground running on various projects. The experienced Architectural Technologist will be in a client facing position, and will be responsible for delivering quality projects while leading a small team of Technicians.
The Architectural Technologist in this role will be a key member of the Architectural team, working with well known high street brand names in the Retail sector, nationally known housebuilders in the Residential sector, and developing new build schools throughout the Midlands region. There will be a predominant focus on the Retail sector initially due to the large amount of workload in that sector, prior experience in Retail would therefore be ideal.
This position would suit an Architectural Technologist with approximately 5-10 years of industry experience, if not more, ideally gained within a private practice or multi-disciplinary environment. It would be highly advantageous for you to have a varied project/sector background, along with proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Revit software.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Architectural Technology degree or a HNC/HND in a related field.
MCIAT status, or ACIAT and close to full chartership.
Approximately 5-10 years of industry experience.
Project running experience, comfortable in a client facing role, and happy to lead a small team.
Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD (essential) & Revit (desirable)
Experience of working in varied sectors, with particular focus on the Retail sector if possible.
