PROJECT ENGINEER – PLASTIC PACKAGING

Salary £30K – £32K depending on experience + company pension scheme + 25 days holiday and bank holidays
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of plastic products supplied to major UK and European companies. Well known for their design, development, and manufacture of bespoke products to suit customer specifications.
They are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to add support to their Manufacturing Team. They have recently introduced several products that require support into manufacturing with project engineering, CAD design, measurement layouts, product/shop floor documentation etc.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Project Manager in the design of new products and processes.
Craft models and drawings using CAD.
Analyse prototype data and retest if needed.
Research new product ideas and methods.
Improve existing products and processes.
Ensure compliance with the industry's safety standards.
Maintain accurate records.
Preparation of required Process / Project Documentation
Supporting CI Project ActivityRequirements:
Ideally Injection or Blow Moulding Plastics experience, Packaging knowledge is useful, plastic materials knowledge will also be required.
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) experience is useful
CAD experience is required, Catia V5 is also useful
Mechanical Engineering qualifications or hands on Design / Project Engineer experience

Ability to deliver projects effectively and on time.
Ability to converse at all levels internally and externally
