They are currently looking to add a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their energetic team to help with their aggressive and ambitious growth plans, this fantastic opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work with industry experts, hone their skills and grow whilst working on dynamic projects.

The Role

As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the design process from cradle to grave, working as an individual and as part of team you will be able to contribute to the success of a variety of projects.  

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer’s key responsibilities will be:

To ensure on time delivery of ‘’Right First Time’’
To carry out and take responsibility for site survey activities
To provide the technical input for engineering purchase specifications
To check and approve design schemes, customer calculations, and subcontract technical submissions
To provide technical advice in resolving customer enquires
Support creation of engineering design guides, rules, and tools to support continuous business improvements
To perform concept and detail design work
To produce detailed sketch drawings, of design concepts    
To produce CAD designs in both 2D and 3D
The Candidate:

The ideal Senior Mechanical Design Engineer would have:

Experience in a responsible mechanical engineering position
CAD experience in 2D and 3D
Mechanical Engineering Qualification
Understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Good understanding of fabrication design details
A ‘’can do’’ and ‘’hands on’’ attitude
A team player mentality
