British Sign Language Teaching Assistant (BSL) – Southwark – Immediate start – £90 – £110 a day (depending on experience)

Teach360 are currently seeking for a British Sign Language Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming team. This specialist day school with a residential provision for students with hearing, speech, language, and communication needs aged 10-19. This specialist day school have many pupils have additional needs e.g. ASD, Motor Difficulties, Visual Impairment, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

British Sign Language Teaching Assistant who has a minimum level 2 in BSL
British Sign Language Teaching Assistant who has experience signing to young people
British Sign Language Teaching Assistant who can start immediately
British Sign Language Teaching assistant who enjoys working with the deaf community
British Sign Language Teaching Assistant to has an enhanced DBS

About the role – British Sign Language Teaching Assistant – Southwark

This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 2 or above to become a British Sign Language Teaching Assistant. You will be supporting 1:1 or in small groups with students who have hearing difficulties, as a British Sign Language Teaching Assistant you are the first point for call for the student you will help to set targets alongside the teacher. Liaising with the teacher, and SENDco reporting back the progress of the child in relation to their targets.

Ideal British Sign Language Teaching Assistant

Must have previous experience supporting pupils with hearing impairments
Must h have Level 2+ in British Sign Language
DBS
Approachable, warm, and empathetic
