MEP BIM Manager – Bristol

Salary : £45000 – £50000/annum Up to £50000
My client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy who have an opportunity for an MEP BIM Manager, to join their South West and Wales regional team in their Bristol or Cardiff office.
You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting projects within the region and also prestigious projects country/worldwide.
Although a multi-disciplinary consultancy, the clients MEP team both locally and nationally are a tight knit group, working closely to deliver some of the largest and most complex buildings in the UK and Europe.
As an MEP BIM Manager, you will form part of the existing team working with the project delivery teams to developing MEP Building Information Models and cultivating new digital workflows.
Working with the Regional leads, Project Directors, Project Managers and input into the Technical Leadership Group to assist with developing a coherent design process that maximises data exchange across multiple software platform.
Your new role, whats involved?
Provide 3D modelling expertise to a variety of multidisciplinary projects in the MEP discipline.
Provide support and advocate the use of tools such as BIM360 across our projects.
Promote and develop the teams skills in Digital Engineering activities.
Leadership of 3D modellers and traditional 2D CAD technicians to deliver technically challenging projects, often to demanding timescales. The role may include delivery of in-house training where necessary.
Provide close support to the MEP teams in the development of BIM within the business both locally and nationally.
Provide a supporting role to upskill BIM knowledge to internal colleagues and external consultants / subcontractors as required.
Wed love to hear from you if you have:
BIM (Building Information Modelling) & Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience working in both 2D and 3D
Are a BIM Manager or have an interest in moving up to the next level and becoming a BIM Manager
Experience of relevant software such as Revit, Navisworks & BIM360
Experience of computational tools such as Dynamo and its benefits are desirable
Demonstrable experience of operating in a BIM Level 2 compliant environment
A multidisciplinary approach to design, independent of background
Have a good working knowledge of industry standards such as ISO:19650 BS1192, PAS1192 and associated documents
