Excellent opportunity for an Associate Architect or Architectural Technologist to join one of Birmingham's most successful and longest standing Architectural practices based in the city centre. Due to significant growth, an influx in work load and a management restructure, an Associate level Architect or Technologist is now required to join the team to run projects and lead a team of Architects and Architectural Assistants.

The practice are one of the longest standing practices in the Midlands region, and have been a stand out member in Birmingham's architectural scene since. The practice is involved in a broad range of sectors and project types, boasting an enviable client portfolio that includes some of the UK's largest housing developers and contractors, big name brands in the automotive industry, and high street retail names throughout the UK.

The Associate Architect or Architectural Technologist required for this role will ideally hold at least 5-10 years of post qualification experience in a similar practice environment, and will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience within a range of sectors. Particular experience in Residential, Commercial and Education schemes would be highly beneficial when applying to this position. The practice are heavily invested in to BIM systems and software, with various ongoing projects operating at BIM Level 2. The Associate Architect or Architectural Technologist entering in to this role should have experience of using Revit software and will have demonstrable experience of working on live projects at BIM Level 2. It will also be a huge advantage for the candidate to have lead teams working at BIM Level 2.

The position available here is a management focused role, in which as an Associate Architect/Technologist, you will be leading your own teams while running projects. The practice are very technical/implementation focused, so applicants need to be very technically competent and happy to work on the delivery end of projects. While elements of design/concept stages are still available, the large majority of work will be technically focused.

Clear progression routes will be on offer to the successful Associate Architect or Architectural Technologist as the practice continues to grow, making this an ideal opportunity for an Architect seeking the next step to Associate level and beyond. You will be expected to lead and mentor the more junior Architects, Technologists and Architectural Assistants within the office, passing on your expertise and knowledge to assist in their development.

Skills and qualifications required for this Senior Architect position include the following:

UK recognised qualifications, with at least 5 years of post qualification experience.
ARB registration / RIBA chartership / CIAT accredited
Experience of working in varied sectors, including; Residential, Education and Commercial schemes.
Software proficiency in Microstation (desirable), AutoCAD and Revit.
Confidence in leading a team, which includes mentorship and development of abilities.

The successful Senior Architect will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, which will include the following:

Salary in the region of £50,000-£60,000 per annum
