Technical Designer job in Yeovil, Somerset
Due to further expansion, our client is looking to fill a Technical Designer job as part of their commercial interior design team in Somerset. The position will see you work across the design process, including site surveys, drawing packages, and liaising with external clients. In exchange, the role offers a salary of up to £40,000 plus bonus potential.
Established over two decades ago, our client has a strong portfolio of work across workplace, retail, hospitality, and public/government projects. They have a number of key accounts with reputable firms across the UK, providing a steady flow of projects, combined with a growing number of new business projects across the sectors they operate in. With 65 members of staff, the business is well-positioned to provide turnkey services to its clients.
Role & Responsibilities
To create and develop 2D architectural/technical drawing packages for commercial projects (elevations, floor plans, RCPs, door schedules, etc.)
Attend site visits and carry out site surveys
Liaise with clients and internal teams on all relevant matters
Ensure drawings adhere to industry and health and safety standards/protocols, keeping up to date with any changes to legislation and regulations.Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in commercial design (workplace or retail)
Level 3 qualification in 2D/3D computed aided design or above
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
UK Driving Licence
Ideally, degree qualified in Interior Design, Architecture, or similar.What you get back
