We are recruiting for a Body Design Principal Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield.
You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company.
This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years.
Key Responsibilities of the Body Design Principal Engineer:
• Body part design and development for all vehicle projects, covering new model and current mass production.
• Metal press part, plastic/fabric trim part, mechanical part will be a scope of design study.
(BIW structures, under covers, NVH insulators, heat insulators, door mechanics, etc)
• To study design shape based on basic material/structure engineering and customer’s requirement.
• To have a discussion with related departments (Other part design, manufacturing team, purchasing, project management, CAD team, suppliers, etc) and to find technical solution.
• Prepare drawing, have a review with line managers.
• PROJ development document and report materials.
• CAD, design drawings and design note
Qualifications & Experience for the Body Design Principal Engineer:
• Experience in car industry is very welcome.
• Basic understanding and skill of mechanical engineering is expected.
• To organize and be confident with an ability to manage projects within set deadlines
• Ability to multitask effectively within a team environment in managing priorities.
• Valid driving license
Hours & Pay for the Body Design Principal Engineer:
• Monday to Friday
• 39 hours per week
• £28.61p/h
