Senior Interior Designer Job in Oxford, Oxfordshire
Our client is looking to fill a Senior Interior Designer job with their studio based near Oxford, Oxfordshire. The practice is looking for an experienced designer who can assist across all stages of design from concept through to completion, including on-site and client-facing aspects. They are open to applications from experienced Senior Interior Designers or Mid-Weight Interior Designers who are looking for a step up. Salary of circa £40,000.
Established over 30 years ago, the company has worked on a vast range of residential properties across London, Gloucester, and Oxfordshire, everything from high-end country residences through to Grade II Listed buildings in some of London's most affluent areas. Their design aesthetic ranges from traditional and classical interiors through to high-end contemporary styles. They are now looking to appoint an experienced interior designer who has a strong background in high-end residential design and a strong understanding of textures, fabrics, and an affinity with colour and tone.
Role & Responsibilities
To be involved in all stages of design from concept through to completion
Liaise with clients directly and define project requirements and schedules
Establish and work within client budgets
Production of samples and mood boards
FF&E specification, selection, and procurement; identifying and working with industry trends
Liaise with contractors to understand and maintain timeframes, visiting sites when required
Assist/mentor junior designers from time to time.Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design
Proficiency in SketchUp or Vectorworks
Experience with creating estimates and using EstiPC or similar
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable
Ideally degree qualified in interior design or similar.What you get back
