Hours: AM – 6:30am – 6:30pm / PM – 6:30pm – 6:30am
Shifts: Rotational AM & PM 12 Hour Shifts (see below)
WK1 – Mon-Weds AM, Thurs-Sat OFF, Sun-Tues PM
WK2 – Weds-Weds OFF
WK3 – Thurs-Sat AM – Sun-Tues OFF
WK 4 – Weds-Fri PM – Sat-Sun OFF
JOB PURPOSE:
To print pharmaceutical leaflets, meeting the planned output for quality, volume and yield to customer requirements and specifications. As the nature of our business can vary with changes in customer requirements and operating procedures the following tasks are the key duties of the role, but it is understood that the Job holder will undertake any function in which he/she is adequately trained or competent.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Understanding and correctly interpreting the works instruction.
Make ready and run all lithographic print presses to meet the required performance and quality standards.
Carry out regular maintenance and cleaning of the print machines in line with Preventative Maintenance schedules.
Advise the print supervisor or senior management of any preventative or additional maintenance requirements.
Undertake all duties in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Policies. The job holder should ensure that they are aware and understand all such policies and procedures.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in line with the Pharmaceutical Code of Practice.
Offer practical advice on machine and other print related areas.
Report on any issues that may have occurred during your hours of work that remain unsolved and ensure that a detailed shift change over takes place.
Contribute to continuous improvement in the key aspects of manufacturing performance.
Ensure that the SFDC system is being used appropriately during your shift. Report on any integrity issues.
Report on any preventative maintenance issues and ensure that all records are completed.
Have an understanding of the manufacturing schedule.
Implement on an ongoing basis the adoption of best working practices and operational methods in order to maintain process efficiency and competitiveness.
Work and communicate effectively with your team, assisting other print operatives as required.
QUALIFICATONS:
Educational and professional:
Recognised vocational qualification
Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent
PC literate
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
Awareness of current SHE legislation/standards
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Pharmaceutical Code of Practice.
Problem solving skills.
Numerical/Verbal reasoning skills & Mechanical Understanding at management norm (SHL).
