CAD Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen, we are working with one of the UK's leading AV System Integrators to find a talented CAD Technician
ROLE: CAD Technician
LOCATION: Didcot
SALARY: £20k-£28k
ROLE SUMMARY: Reporting to the Design Director, the role will be pivotal in the continued growth & expansion of the business, whilst supporting delivery of high quality, well-engineered audio visual and video conference projects to our clients.
The duties of the CAD Technician will include but won't be limited to:
Production of system related drawings in AutoCAD, which will include AV Layout Drawings, Building, Electrical & IT Works Required, Elevations, Sections, System Schematics, Rack Layout, Metalwork layouts and any other drawings as required
Assisting with technical handovers for upcoming projects
Updating project documentation to reflect "As Built Status"
Updating drawing register as necessary
Assisting with archiving of project folders ensuring all information enclosed is current and accurate, as per the company's quality management system
Assisting with the creation of new and maintenance of existing Design Integration templates as necessary.
What do we require from you?
A good attitude and willingness to learn new skills and absorption of new
Experience of using Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
AutoCAD experience is essential
Experience of working within a Technical/Design environment would be advantageous
To be an enthusiastic team player capable of meeting deadlines and going the extra mile to ensure timely project completions
