UK Power Solutions has an exciting opportunity as a CAD Technician to join the team! You will prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD 2D associated with the construction and installation of New Electricity Contestable Connections up to and including 33/66kV.
Role Responsibilities
* Preparation/production/amendment of drawings throughout project lifecycle in line with UK Power Solutions CAD standards
* Coordination with other CAD technicians in the production of drawings
* Ability to understand and apply design engineers’ instruction within the remit of individual projects
* Willing, keen and able to develop expertise in the role
* Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with UK Power Solutions procedures and customer requirements
About you
Core Competencies / Skills
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software
* Knowledge of Electricity Distribution Systems
* IT literate such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent command of written and spoken English is required
Experience
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Qualifications
* Successful candidates should have 2D CAD experience within Electrical and Civil disciplines.
