I am working with a well-renowned retailer, who are looking for a Web Designer to join their collaborative development team.
The main focus of the role will be to provide an excellent user experience for all customers. You will achieve this by designing, developing and styling applications through strong CSS, HTML and JavaScript. To ensure the best user experience you will constantly look at the UX and accessibility of the clients' applications.
You will be joining an already established and collaborative development tea. In the role you will report to the Development Team Lead, where you will get the opportunity to influence and be involved in the full lifecycle.
What you'll do as a Web Designer:
Implement designs based off requirements for their website and internal applications
Write re-usable elements, creating a high standard of styling across all things Development
Provide the best user experience possible for users and customers
Carry out wireframing and storyboarding to best practice
Influence through Agile planning of stand ups, planning, backlog refinement and overview sessions
Offer updates on progress whilst working effectively as a team
Work on issues in a timely manner, including Javascript issues
What you'll bring as a Web Designer:
Experience in HTML & CSS
Experience in Javascript and a JS Framework (Angular, React or Vue)
Strong UI / UX Design Experience
Experience in an Agile methodology
A background working with Source Control tools (Git)
Excellent wireframing, storyboarding and troubleshooting skills
Experience in Unit testing, Typescript and A/B testing – desirable
Experience in the ecommerce and retail sector – desirable
