Conrad Consulting have partnered with a global Architecture & Masterplanning practice who have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Architect to join their successful regional studio in Newcastle.

Our client are looking for a proactive and talented Senior Level Architect with a range of experience within the Education, Commercial, Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure sectors.

The role will primarily be focused on projects within the Education sector initially and supporting design teams to deliver high quality school building projects that make a real difference to local communities. You'll be working within a collaborative environment and taking responsibility for a variety of education projects throughout all design stages.

Responsibilities of the Senior Architect

Leading individual schemes and taking them through from inception to completion.

Inspiring the team to create projects that are innovative and creative in their response to the client brief.

Preparing concept scheme designs from Client briefs.

Leading multi-disciplinary teams in the preparation of production information and working drawing packages.

Support in securing new business opportunities including bid writing, undertaking presentations to clients/project stakeholders.

Leading a small team of architects/assistants to deliver school projects through all RIBA stages.

Client and stakeholder facing responsibilities.

Requirements of the Senior Architect design lead

Qualified Architect / Senior Architect with 5-10 years post qualification experience.

Thorough understanding of educational design, current regulations and standards in the UK.

A high level of school design experience, demonstrated through a portfolio of projects.

An excellent designer, communicator with exceptional presentation skills.

Experience of leading a small team and reviewing the work of others.

Capable of working and completing tasks independently as well as demonstrating strong teamwork skills.

Able to present information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup.

Able to draw 'free hand' sketches and illustrate to a high level.

Salary and benefits for the Project Architect / Design Lead.

Salary & package (depending on experience)

£43,000 – £48,000 + private medical, 25 days holiday, lucrative performance bonus, 7% employer pension.

Our client currently operate a 2 days in the office and 3 from home policy which will continue indefinitely.
