UX Designer/ Web Designer – Remote (UK Based)- £30,000- £40,000
I am working with a well-renowned retailer, who are looking for a UX Designer/ Web Designer to join their collaborative team.
The main focus of the role will be to provide an excellent user experience for all customers. You will achieve this by constantly looking at the UX and accessibility of the clients' applications.
Carrying out best practise you will champion user centred design with the opportunity to play a key role driving projects forward.
You will be joining an already established and collaborative development team. In the role you will report to the Development Team Lead, where you will get the opportunity to influence and be involved in the full lifecycle. If you are a creative designer with a strong portfolio, then read on!
What you'll do as a UX Designer/ Web Designer:
Implement designs based off requirements for their website and internal applications
Provide the best user experience possible for users and customers
Carry out wireframing and storyboarding to best practice
Influence through Agile planning of stand ups, planning, backlog refinement and overview sessions
Offer updates on progress whilst working effectively as a team
Work on issues in a timely manner, including Javascript issues
What you'll bring as a UX Designer/ Web Designer:
Strong UI / UX Design Experience
Excellent wireframing, storyboarding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with either Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch or Invision
Knowledge and exposure to HTML and CSS
Experience in an Agile methodology
Knowledge of Javascript and JS frameworks – desirable
Experience in Unit testing, Typescript and A/B testing – desirable
Experience in the ecommerce and retail sector – desirable
A strong portfolio
