FF&E Interior Designer

Salary : £42000 – £50000/annum
A new FF&E Interior Designer job is now available with an award winning team in Surrey. The practice is looking for an experienced designer who can work on all project stages and liaise directly with clients. They are open to applications from experienced Senior Interior Designers or Mid-Weight Designers who are looking for a step up. Salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience.
The practice has decades of experience working on luxury properties in Greater London and the home counties. They work on new build and refurbishment projects lasting from 6 months to 2 years and oversee all architectural and interior design aspects. With an exciting pipeline of work, they are currently looking for a team player to join their interior design team of 7.
The position requires in depth knowledge on all elements of FF&E interior design, including, space planning, designing, specifying, sourcing, pricing, procuring, and delivering for all interior design & decoration. This is a fast-paced role working on numerous projects, supporting a diverse range of characters so a positive attitude is an absolute must.
Role & Responsibilities
– Effectively producing and delivering full FF&E interior schemes, on time and within budget
– Seeing projects successfully through from concept to completion
– Liaising directly with clients, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and implemented properly
– Production of conceptual design ideas, undertaking and development of schemes
– Coordinating the procurement and delivery of FF&E projects
– Managing finance including pricing documents, supplier quotes and clients' expectations
– Liaising with suppliers for interior fittings and furnishings, including lighting, wall and floor finishes, furniture, joinery and soft furnishings to ensure that all aspects are considered and included
– Accurate sites surveys
– Maintaining and developing the organisations reputations in its markets with clients, suppliers and contacts.
Required Skills & Experience
– 5+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design
– Extensive experience successfully delivering interior projects to both private clients and developers
– Previous experience of both new build and refurbishment is essential
– Ability to manage all aspects of the design process from concept through to installation
– Proven experience working on all FF&E stages
– Highly motivated with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
– Excellent personal skills
– A hands-on, can-do approach to work
– Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
– Proficient in Microsoft office, EstiMac, InDesign, 2D CAD (or similar)
– Must have a clean driving licence and access to a car.
