CAD Design Engineer – West Norfolk – Circa £30k pa
An exciting long term career opportunity is available to join this family owned, specialist engineering company as a CAD Design Engineer. You would work onsite in their friendly, open-plan modern office near Downham Market and King’s Lynn so you will need to have your own transport.
As a CAD Design Engineer, you would be using Autodesk Inventor, creating solid 3D models of the companies engineering projects. You will be a good communicator with an engineering background.
The CAD Engineer will be required to:
Design, develop and engineer high quality designs using Autodesk Inventor 3D and 2D tools.
Produce designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation and timing.
Ensure that all work carried out in compliance with company design, safety, quality, customer compliance and procedures.
Interact with other designers and engineers, to obtain critical design information necessary to complete project within intended time frame.
Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
Develop detailed 3D designs showing arrangement of equipment.
Attend design review meetings as and when required.

• Strong people skills, and ability to work with wide variety of staff and clients.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to meet deadlines, well organized and able to work under pressure.
• Participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training
Rewards:
In return, you will receive a very competitive starting salary dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications. Your working week will be Monday to Friday 8:30 am till 5:00 pm. You also have the option of finishing at 2 pm every other Friday by doing 3 extra hours in the days preceding it. Benefits include a pension scheme and life insurance after a qualifying period
