Architectural Technologist – Intermediate level

Salary : £27000 – £30000/annum
Intermediate level Architectural Technologist required to join a Leeds City based SME Architectural Practice to support the delivery of various Residential & Commercial Projects across the UK.
The practice has been established for over 25 years have become well known for producing quality design and technical project delivery to a broad range of developments across the country. Their Leeds office, headed up by two Directors has five full time members of staff, is exceptionally well run and is on a very sound financial footing. It is also an exciting time to join this business, they are due to move into a new studio space in February 2023, are about to launch a new website and hopefully welcome a couple of new starters to the business!
The successful Architectural Technologist will be immediately immersed in the Residential Sector, with projects on New Build houses, Luxury one off developments, volume housing and Apartments. Additional sectors include commercial schemes, with our client recently having had planning permission granted for a new showroom, office, trade counter and warehouse facility for a well know kitchen designer and multiple new build retail projects. A Technologist with an Intermediate level of experience is the sweet spot for what our client need, somewhere in the region of up to 5 years' experience but this is flexible.
Duties of the Architectural Technician / Technologist
*Produce quality Construction drawing packages using AutoCAD & REVIT software.
*Be responsible for the resolution of design issues and co-ordination of design information.
*Managing planning applications, building regulation drawings & Construction detailing.
*Preparation of tender drawing packages.
*Production information for contractors and third parties.
*Attending weekly project updates / meeting project submission deadlines.
Requirements of the Architectural Technician / Technologist
*Have around 5 years' experience working within an Architectural practice or Consultancy.
*Degree or HNC / HND qualified Architectural Technician.
*Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and have a working knowledge of REVIT.
*Have a good understanding of UK Building Regulations and Planning Applications.
*Have a passion for design with flair and imagination in your ideas.
*Good understanding of how building are constructed.
*Meticulous approach to Technical detailing.
*Team player of good character, keen to be hands on in a busy environment.
*Previous experience of working in the Residential sector.
Salary offered is up to £30,000 depending on experience and suitability + benefits.
