I am currently recruiting for an experienced Product & Packaging Designer to join an established and well-loved national high street retailer. This is a great opportunity for a strong creative but commercially focused designer to join the expanding own brand product team in their London head office function (Hybrid Working options available).

You will be responsible for working closely with the Head of New Product Development to research creative trends, create & deliver innovative product ranges that meet both Departmental and Company targets. Ensuring the creative product strategy is delivered through innovative and commercially viable design in line with the creative direction of the Group Creative Director. As a Product & Packaging Designer some of your duties will include.

* Responsible for product trend research through to final product design

* Develop & expand further on the current Stationery range introducing newness to the range.

* You will develop and prototype new product ideas.

* You will work closely with suppliers & sourcing teams overseas.

* You will review and approve pre-production samples alongside the wider team.

* Liaising with Artworkers and Project Managers

* Building & maintaining strong relationships with internal teams & external suppliers

* Ensuring product lines achieve seasonally defined timeframes.

Key requirements for the role.

* Must have a proven experience in developing both product and packaging for Gifting and Stationery ranges.

* Art-working experience of working on product and packaging for retail.

* Good level of understanding of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.

* Strong technical knowledge of print processes and finishes.

* Accuracy and attention to detail.

* Must be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Illustrator and Photoshop

* Able to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced market manage multiple projects and deadlines.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
