This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an award winning successful business in the West Yorkshire area. Working as part of a meduim sized, accomplished design and development team. The successful candidate will need a strong portfolio with a focus on signage design, with strong 3d creative ability as well as a good eye for technical.
Youll have a strong understanding of design for manufacture, be a hands-on product development designer with strong presentation skills.
What You Will Be Doing?
* Design & engineer products from concept through manufacturing, prototyping and sign off.
* Produce well engineered, cost effective products that can be manufactured in various locations around the world.
* design and create engineering drawing packs, to be used as translation documents for manufacture, for multi-disciplined manufacturing techniques.
* Creating visuals and general arrangement drawings for client presentation / sign off procedures.
* Develop / engineer various internal & external components.
* Produce fully developed / engineered components ready for manufacture for prototyping, bespoke and roll out components. as well as technical drawings / Solidworks assemblies ready for manufacture.
* Produce creative concept visuals for client presentations.
What You Will Need….
* Ideally a recognised qualifiation in a relevant discipline ie Design/ 3D Design/ Product Design etc. with excellent research skills for new products, materials and processes.
* Knowledge and 'hands on' materials knowledge including various manufacturing techniques: signage, metal fabrication etc.
* Proficient in Solidworks or similar, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite.
* Must have solid industry experience including the ability to design for manufacture.
* Strong communicator at all level
* Must possess design project management skills including the ability to work independently, strong time management and confidence to flag issues and provide solutions
