Designer – Metalwork

Placing Leaders are a specialist Recruitment Company, recruiting Professionals within the façade and fenestration industry – ie. Curtain Walling, Glazing, Structural Glass and Cladding.
Our client specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural metalwork and bespoke design.They are looking for designers based from their offices in North London who have extensive experience with both 2D and 3D and experience designing bespoke components/parts for manufacture in metalwork/joinery.
Duties will include: Design and problem solve, 3D model components for assembly and produce manufacturing/installation drawings. On site surveying of structural surround Design concepts and problem solving (sketched).Fixing method/identification and design finalizing. Approval drawings to client showing details and clarification of design (in 3D). Modelling of individual components for full assembly. Manufacturing drawings for components with material specs and finish.Manufacturing drawing control sheet created.Ordering of specified/agreed fixings for assembly.Fixings list created for record and on-site installation.Installation drawings of on-site component assembly and order. As-built drawings on completion of installation. Additional co-ordination duties include:Project Management Salaries are dependent upon candidates level of relevant experience
